LOCAL children received a visit from a Holocaust survivor to mark the end of a project about Nazi Germany last Friday.
Year eight pupils at Outwood Academy, Carlton, listened to Susan Pollack’s harrowing ordeal at the Auschwitz concentration camp as a teenager.
The 86-year-old, who grew up in rural Hungary, was transported to the camp where millions of Jews were killed with members of her family in 1944.
