BUS fares for children are going up by 10p next weekend as transport bosses grapple budget cuts of more than £8m.
Single child concession bus and tram fares in South Yorkshire will increase from 70p to 80p from next Sunday, September 18.
South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive said young passengers can still make use of value-for-money child and student tickets from bus and tram operators, including weekly tickets that offer ‘unlimited travel across South Yorkshire from 72p per day’.
