A ROYSTON man is raffling two poppy sculptures he has made from old bicycle and industrial parts to raise money for The British Legion.

Chris Hall, 40, of Galway Close, Royston, has made two sculptures one from old bicycle parts and a second from industrial parts.

He has designed and painted them, and is now selling tickets for a Remembrance Raffle to raise money for The Royal British Legion.

Chris said: “I’ve been making things out of old parts for about four or five years, it’s more of a hobby than anything.

“I’ve made a poppy out of old bike parts which is now in Cyclomania in Barnsley, and I did a cross out of old industrial parts. I’m doing a raffle on my Facebook page and I’m going to give the money to The Royal British Legion.

“It’s something which means a lot to me having had family members in the army. Everyone either knows someone or has had relatives in the army, and remembrance is important.”

The two poppies are being raffled off via Chris’s Facebook page in November. Find him at Upcycled-hall on Facebook here.
