A WATH church building has been put up for sale for offers in the region of £250,000.
Wath’s Trinity Methodist Church, at the bottom of Chapel Street at the junction with Church Street, is now listed on Zoopla. Included in the price is a two bedroom adjoining cottage.
Chief Superintendent for the Rotherham and Dearne Valley Circuit Rev Jo Siddall said: “It’s always a very difficult decision to sell a church.
“The congregation is very few in number and the older hall next door will now be used. We will be moving back into the original building.
“We see this as a very positive thing and there will be a positive presence in Wath with the community groups that are also based there.”
The church, which is Victorian in age, is made of stone and has ornate features.
