IT takes passion, drive and determination to face a panel of Dragons - not to mention the courage of a lion.

And Barnsley based Claire Gelder has all those qualities in spades.

She proved it two years ago when she quit her job as an NHS director to set up her own craft business.

And the enterprise has done so well that on Sunday evening, the Barnsley-based entrepreneur will be given the chance to stitch up a potentially life-changing investment when she enters the Dragons Den.

Claire, whose business Wool Couture is based within the Barnsley Business Innovation Centre at Wilthorpe, will tell the Dragons she aims to inspire others to take up the centuries-old pastimes of marcrame, knitting, weaving and crochet by giving the hobbies a twenty-first century makeover.

Claire will appear on Dragons’ Dens, on BBC Two at 8pm on Sunday.
