CONTROVERSIAL plans for an 11-pitch gypsy and traveller site at Stairfoot have been approved for a second time.
Permission was granted last month but more than 300 people submitted objections after the deadline and argued they had not had enough time to argue their case.
A resident spoke out at the meeting saying the site was a dangerous health and safety risk, being next to the waste transfer station on Grange Lane.
