A YOUNG entrepreneur is juggling her studies at Barnsley College with her new business that designs t-shirts and make-up.

Jennifer Hammonds, 21, studies sport, health, fitness and exercise at the college. As a teen, she set up a stall at the Tramlines Festival in Sheffield that sold tie-dye t-shirts. Five years later she has expanded her business to offer glitter make-up, which has given her the opportunity to showcase her business in Germany, Sweden and France.

In 2014, Jennifer won the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Proud of Barnsley awards for her previous business, The Blue Frog Clothing. She was also in the Young Entrepreneur category at the Young Champions awards.

Jennifer said: “I have always had a passion for health and fitness but have a business instinct. Since studying Higher Education at Barnsley College I have had more time to push the business which has grown massively. I’m even looking to recruit more members of staff to help me on the stalls.

“College is very supportive of me. The tutors and students all offer to help whenever and however they can and the Enterprise department at the College has been a big help.
