POLICE patrols will be increased in the coming weeks after staff at a Cudworth children’s home were left ‘fearing for their safety’ when yobs forced entry in an early hours raid.

Wednesday afternoon’s Community Engagement Meeting at Cudworth Fire Station was told that police have been called to Amber House, on Church Street, twice in the last week after staff were reportedly threatened by teenagers who were not connected to the home.

The latest incident, which took place on Tuesday at around 2am, saw officers go to the scene after thugs forced entry into the house, according to South Yorkshire Police.
