ROYSTON Park has received more than £90,000 in improvement works.

Extra car parking, new play equipment, a skate park redesign and a community orchard have all been paid for with Section 106 funding.

Coun Caroline Makinson said: “It’s great news as it’s been very much been led by public demand. The extra car parking is a huge bonus to both residents and visitors as it frees up Midland Road.

“Play equipment has been in need of TLC for quite some time and the community orchard will be used by every local school.

“Each aspect contributes to our commitment of keeping the park and playing fields sustainable into the future for the community’s enjoyment.”
