TRADERS on Barnsley’s indoor market have already been allocated their new temporary stalls where they will move to in March.

What was the semi-open market is being cleaned up and will become Market Parade where stall holders from the indoor market and four cafes will move to while the Metropolitan Centre undergoes a transformation.

Council staff say in the past few weeks all the units in Market Parade have been allocated to traders and each trader met to discuss their requirements for their new stall. They have chosen their stall layout, counters or a walk in unit, lighting scheme, any power requirements and water supplies for the food vendors.
