OBJECTIONS to a traffic regulation order which will bring in new restrictions on roads near Locke Park are expected to be dismissed.
Ruling cabinet members will discuss the scheme involving parts of Park Road; Tower Street; Castle Street; St John’s Road; Park Grove; Locke Avenue and Blenheim Road.
New waiting and loading restrictions are set to come into force on Park Road to prevent indiscriminate parking and boost visibility from junctions, where ‘no waiting at any time’ signs will be introduced to ensure they are kept free from parked vehicles.
Ten objections were received, predominantly due to a lack of parking at nearby homes, but cabinet members have been recommended to overrule those submitted.
