AN elderly woman who was struck by an oncoming car in Hoyland has died.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the 80-year-old woman was struck by a red Nissan Juke on Hoyland Road.
The collision happened at around 12.30pm on December 3 and the woman suffered critical injuries at the scene.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police: “Police, paramedics and the air ambulance attended the scene, but she sadly passed away.
“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, particularly any motorists who were travelling along Hoyland Road who may hold dash-cam footage, or properties not already spoken to in the local area that hold CCTV footage.”
