PLANS to build a nine-screen cinema and six restaurants at the Alhambra are due to be approved at a planning meeting next week, council papers reveal.
The development will create up to 230 jobs - 60 at the cinema, 160 in the restaurants, and ten in security and maintenance.
The extension will be built on top of the existing roof structure and would mean the removal of one of the glass rooflights. A decision will be made at the planning board on Tuesday.
