THE ladies race jersey for the Tour de Yorkshire was unveiled at Asda in Barnsley marking the second year running the supermarket has sponsored the race.
Asda is sponsoring the women’s race and the men’s sprint jerseys.
Store manager at ASDA Barnsley Barkat Ali said: “We’re all massive fans of the races here in store, and hosting the unveiling of the women’s jersey has been a privilege and has gone down well with colleagues and customers alike.
“The Tour de Yorkshire has had such a significant benefit to the area and has really put us on the map.
“We’re delighted to be involved again with such an amazing event and we wish everyone participating the best of luck.”
Asda’s vice president for retail operations, Jodie Tate, said: “I’m a very proud Yorkshire lass and it’s an honour to unveil the official jersey for the women’s race.
“With just a month to go to the race you can tell the excitement is starting to build especially here in Barnsley.”
