A BARNSLEY lad whose granddad was a huge fan of TV show Bargain Hunt won a place on the programme only a day after his granddad died.

Former nightclub bouncer Nathan Rimmington, 22, of Princess Street, Wombwell, will appear on the show with his pal and fellow former bouncer Jamie Hastelow, 32, of Dobie Street, Barnsley, in an appearance they say will be in memory of Nathan's granddad Derek Cooper.

Nathan, who now works as a school bus driver, said: "It's a pity Granddad didn't get to see the episode. He would have loved it."

Nathan and Jamie met when they worked together as bouncers on the doors of a Wombwell club.
