A CARE home in Royston has been classed as good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission.

Oakwood Grange, on Oakwood Road, cares for up to 60 residents and received praise from inspectors following their visit, which took place in March.

Care homes are now classed by the CQC as either outstanding, good, requiring improvement or inadequate and the report highlighted the home’s management, food quality and residents’ positive feedback.

Manager Jodi Harris said: “We have worked hard to make Oakwood a good care home but to be given such praise from the regulator is wonderful.

“We welcome such rigorous inspections and clear ratings so older people and their families can see which homes are the best in the country.

“We’re so pleased to be classed as a good care home.”
