MP Dan Jarvis unveiled the new £2.8m development of affordable homes at Lamb Lane in Monk Bretton.
This is the latest in a series of successful developments in Barnsley from Yorkshire Housing.
Over the past five years it has delivered 398 new homes including award-winning schemes at New Lodge and Sheerien Close in Athersley, as well as commended schemes at George Street in Darfield and Sanderson Road in Penistone.
The 24 two and three-bedroom family homes and bungalows in Monk Bretton are built on the site of a disused library and will provide good-quality low cost homes in a popular area.
