CHELSEA Dyson was a keen dancer when she was younger and only recently got involved in the world of bodybuilding and fitness.

It was her boyfriend who introduced her to the Muscle Unit gym in Carlton and persuaded her with enough training and dedication she might do all right at the North East finals of the United Kingdom Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation championships.

Chelsea, 20, from Cawthorne Road, Barugh Green, came second in the bikini category and will now compete in the UK finals.

Chelsea, a marketing manager, said: "I loved dancing and performing when I was younger, so getting back onto the stage, even though it was in a bikini, was just great, but I never ever thought I would get a placing. "

Rob Taylor, 27, who owns the Muscle Unit gym, was also competing. Rob, from Royston, has been training as a bodybuilder since leaving school and he took first place in his category.

Also training at the same gym was Matty Kavanagh, 22, who came third in the under 23s' category.
