POLICE have charged a 16-year-old boy after another 16-year-old was stabbed on Saturday night, it was confirmed today.

Police were called to Doles Crescent, Royston, at 9.48pm following reports that boy had been stabbed.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital by ambulance, his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

A police spokesman confirmed a 16-year-old boy has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a knife/bladed article in a public place.

He will appear at Sheffield Crown Court on March 5.
