A 40-YEAR-OLD Barnsley man has been arrested and taken into police custody on suspicion of murder, by detectives investigating the death of a 73-year-old woman in the town.
The arrest follows the launch of an investigation after the woman's body was found at a house on Roy Kilner Road on Thursday morning.
Officers continue to appeal for information from anyone who has seen the woman's red Audi TT, registration number YM17 SYJ, which police believe was taken from the house at 9pm on Wednesday evening.
