A BARNSLEY firm has helped create a series of decorative panels that protect a bird sanctuary.

Cutting Technologies, based at Barugh Green, was asked to intricately cut the balustrading that surrounds a sanctuary in Flintshire.

It was brought in to do the job by artistic blacksmith Heat and Beat, which is overseeing the project. The balustrades combine local history and images include themes of recreation, maritime, birds, and industry.

Jane Robinson, director at Cutting Technologies, said: “Laser cutting is the perfect way to improve a space and these balustrades prove why - they brighten the area whilst also serving a practical need in protecting the bird sanctuary. We’re really pleased we were able to work with Heat and Beat on this project.”

John Wynne-Eyton, from Heat and Beat, added: “We’ve worked with Cutting Technologies on a few projects and we think they’re absolutely brilliant, particularly when it comes to the fineness of cut we require in our designs.”
