A DERELICT care home set to be demolished after repeated arson attacks has again been targeted.
Firefighters were called to the former Belmont care home on Lamb Lane, Monk Bretton, at 9.30pm on Wednesday.
Crews from Cudworth and Barnsley spent an hour-and-a-half dealing with the blaze - the sixth this year - and ventilating the building.
The council’s building control officers have repeatedly undertaken investigations of the site and the council has stated a preference to demolish the building, which local councillors have said needs to be done quickly.

It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
