A LARGE amount of money was stolen during a raid on a cash machine in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at Grimethorpe Post Office, on High Street, at about 1.40am.
No-one was injured but the branch sustained structural damage and has been closed since.
A police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene and found damage consistent with an attack on the ATM machine. A large amount of money was stolen.”
